Baltic Flour Mill. It was a working flour mill for Rank Hovis from it's opening in 1950 till closure in 1981. It is now the BALTIC Centre for Comtemporary Art, with a history that stretches back much further than its 2002 opening. The BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, is housed in a completely rennovated flour mill on the south bank of the River Tyne, Gateshead, and is the biggest gallery of its kind in the world.
